A focused, collegial forum for active Acute Care Surgery chiefs — convened to exchange ideas, share best practices, and address the field’s evolving challenges through open dialogue, real-world problem solving, and leadership growth.
This symposium exists for the chiefs in the room — and it gets sharper every year because of your candid feedback. What landed, what to rethink, and what you want to see next all directly shape the 2027 program, speakers, and format. It takes about three minutes, and every response genuinely counts.

A few practical notes to help you pack and plan for Nashville.
Dress is casual all weekend. Jeans are welcome Friday evening; scrubs, institutional jackets, and good walking shoes are all perfectly fine and even encouraged Saturday and Sunday. No suits or ties needed.
Expect hot, humid days with average highs near 90°F and overnight lows around 70°F. Dress light, stay hydrated, and a light layer helps with indoor air-conditioning.
There's a fair amount of walking across the medical campus, so comfortable shoes are a must. Some areas are under construction and routes may change, so allow a little extra time — our team will help guide you each morning.
